Thiago Espirito Santo is a Brazilian multi instrumentalist with a 24 year internationally
recognized career. He’s been teaching and ministering clinics throughout Brazil (as well as
many other places through Skype lessons) for many years, helping students and professional
musicians to truly develop their skills and be able to express themselves through their
instrument.
Thiago has written bass methods that are used by the Brazilian government to help kids study
music effectively. He has played and recorded with several great artists, such as Hermeto
Pascoal, Dominguinhos, Toninho Horta, Hélio Delmiro, Yamandú Costa, Hamilton de
Holanda, Oswaldinho do Acordeon, Heraldo do Monte, Arismar do Espirito Santo, Silvia
Goes, Gabriel Grossi, Marcio Bahia, Robertinho Silva, Toquinho, Filó Machado, Maria
Bethânia and Kiko Loureiro, as well as with international artists like George Benson, Jim
Stinnett, Dom Moio, Todd Johnson, Kenwood Dennard, Alessio Menconi and Gregoire
Maret.
He’s performed in the US, Argentina, Ecuador, Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal,
Netherlands, Italy, France, Mozambique, Japan and Russia. Nominated for the 2012 Latin
Grammy’s for his work in production on Oswaldinho do Acondeon’s album “Choro Chorado”.
Thiago has, at 38 years of age, released more than 12 solo and group albums.
Thiago uses DR Strings, Aguilar Amplifiers and Tagima instruments.
