About

LaBaq is brazilian, born in Franca/SP in 1988 and started studying music at the age of 12.
There was a time when she found herself suspended in the air, facing from there all the musical paths she could follow and those she had already done, until she reaches the beautiful – and painless – position of a woman who is a songwriter/performer, being the electric guitar the instument where she found versatility, and of course, a thousand sounds to play with, pedals and the adorable assurance that nothing needs to sound equal: the constant mutation sets the rules, day after day.
Representing the new generation of brazilian singers and composers, in the year of 2012 she was invited to be part of the Brazilian Day Barcelona/Spain, where she took the concert of her first solo álbum, the EP called “ir“, that counted on the musical production of Fernando Nunes.
On constant movement, she has performed in many well known venues in London, Paris, Lisbon and Barcelona, having the opportunity to be the opening act of artists like Max de Castro and Maria Gadu around the countries she passed by.
Touring around south america, Uruguay and Argentine were in her route, performing in the most important places for independent music in Buenos Aires, Montevideo, La Plata y Punta del Diablo.
In Brazil, she passed by lots of different states. Larissa has performed in a concert by the side of Ellen Oléria, also in festivals with names such as Maria Gadu, Flavio Venturini, Diogo Nogueira, Rubel, making more tan 82 shows in 2015.
She also created “Improvisoul“ in 2015, an instrumental spectacle tha doesnt have a proper formation nor a musical repertoire, its focus is on improvising themes and solos and also the Project “Compositoras Existem“, that praises the music made by female composers of many nationalities and eras.
The artist releases in 2016 her debut álbum, Voa, that counts on the musical production of Michi Ruzitschka besides herself and features 11 tracks composed by the young and talented girl, a claimed álbum that already passed by the indie circuit of countries in Europe and South America, being well received by critics and audience.
